Thanks for visiting my website!
I’m a mixed race scholar and writer, as well as a ghostwriter and editor.
The Short Stuff
I have been published in such outlets as The New York Times, The New York Daily News, Essence, Real Simple, and JSTOR Daily. My main focuses are race, grief and loss, and identity, through the mediums of personal essays, interviews and profiles, and academic articles.
The Long Stuff
I ghostwrite legacy books to help individuals and families capture their stories for the next generations and the public at large. I’m also at work on my own story: a memoir about taking care of my absent, alcoholic father at the end of life. And check out my book, Being Biracial: Where Our Secret Worlds Collide: Educators’ Guide, written on commission for Coquí Press.
Need an Editor?
In addition to writing, I work as a professional editor for individuals and companies. I’d love to help you with your project.

I like this, but why focus only on the black/white mix? We need to celebrate all miztures.

Hi Kathryn,
Thanks for your comment! I focus largely on black/white mixes because that’s what I know, and I don’t want to pretend to know what it’s like for others. The educators’ guide, however, and the anthology it accompanies, are about all different types of mixtures. Hope that clears things up!
